Crisis Communication
By definition a “crisis” arises when you least expect it. The key to successfully confronting a crisis in your organization or program is to be prepared well in advance. This workshop enables you to do just that. Working in teams of 2 to 4 people, participants tackle a series of realistic and surprising developments that emerge as the “crisis” unfolds.
Participants will learn to…
- Understand how a crisis unfolds and what spokespeople should be communicating during the crisis
- Separate any crisis into both operations and communications aspects and to coordinate people and activities in both areas
- Manage what appears to be a one-dimensional crisis as it develops into a multi-faceted one
- Display confidence and poise in defusing a crisis by applying the techniques developed in media training
