Program Objective:
Influence Without Authority—Advanced is a two-day workshop that focuses on the following:
The strategic and practical application of a process that dramatically increases the probability of success of your ideas, projects and initiatives.
In support of this goal, participants will:
Recognize your own internal barriers that prevent sustained intentional action
Leverage key influencing and persuading concepts to increase buy in and overcome resistance
Recognize and constructively respond to differing communication styles
Create an influencing action plan to navigate your team, company’s and individual member’s unique blend of Culture, Politics, Biases, Styles, and Agendas
Understand five common reasons teams fail, causing bright and talented people to become dysfunctional, then crafting a plan to avoid these dysfunctions and build more cohesive teams
Recognize the opportunity to influence by managing conflict constructively with eye toward better relationships and improved outcomes
This two-day seminar is highly interactive and workshop driven. Class discussions draw out and build upon the experience of the participants. All participants take part in one-on-one role plays, complete two personal assessments, and engage in several small group exercises. At the beginning of day-one, each participant picks real work situations where they want to exert more influence and culminates in the development of an Organizational Dynamics Strategy Plan for that event.
In this class, the outcome is to create a process necessary to navigate the people and politics in their organization.
